Qantas partners now include Dubai based Emirates Airlines. Together they have formed a new global partnership…which is pretty incredible! I knew something was on the cards but I’m not yet sure what to make of this latest announcement I have to say!
As part of the arrangement Qantas will pull services via South East Asia to Europe and fly via Dubai instead… that’s almost 100 services a week via Dubai… do we need that many?
The old SIN/BKK/HKG options always worked well (when I’ve worked in the UK at both Bridge the World and more recently at Bridge & Wickers world of travel) so it will be interesting to see what the likes of Ethiad & Doha Airlines do! The JSA with BA ends too – not sure yet how that impacts on QF/BA via the States or other routes…we shall have to see. At the end of the day even though it will initially feel strange not stopping over in Bangkok or Singapore I am sure we will get used to Dubai. The airport is state of the art and the city itself has everything a holiday stop over en route to or from Australia or New Zealand should have.
As far as I am concerned, Qantas partners will all benefit enormously from such a fantastic union with Emirates. People will now be able to fly from Dubai to most major European destinations and capitals rather than have to fly to London first!
For further information about who the Qantas partners are and where they fly please contact Jerry Bridge as there really are many benefits to be aware of and enjoy.
